Rachel & Simon (Gosfield Hall, Essex)

My daughter Rachael and I first met Kerry at a Wedding Fair in Nottingham.  Rachael was stunned by Kerry’s designs and decided there and then that she wanted Tineke as her florist at her forthcoming Wedding.  There was one slight problem though, the Wedding was taking place in Essex and we live in Nottm – would Tineke be able to provide the flowers – “Not a problem” said Kerry with a big smile.

Kerry, Shaun and John visited Rachael at home to discuss her ideas and colour schemes.  Rachael loves flowers and of course had lots of ideas.  With lots of help and guidance from the team Rachael  nearly came to a decision.  A few months later we visited Tineke’s studio to look at the flowers they had ordered and arranged into various bouquets and table decorations.  This time it was much easier to make a decision and as Rachael is very petite, having the right size of bouquet for her was important.  This was all sorted out at this meeting and Kerry completely put our minds at ease.

We popped into the Studio several times before the Wedding with ideas for table confetti, ribbons etc.  Each time the team made us feel very welcome and special, nothing was too much effort for them.

Then, to the Big Day.  In true British 2007 summer style, the weather was dreadful!  Rachael arrived at the venue early in the morning to get ready for her 2.00pm Wedding.  Tineke arrived shortly after Rachael, bursting out of their van with big smiles and lots of enthusiasm, they couldn’t wait to get started.  After a short tour around the Hall, the team started setting up the table decorations and making buttonholes.  Kerry put personal touches by sprinkling flower petals around various areas especially the table where Rachael and Simon were to exchange their Wedding Vows.  I went to get into my Mother of the Bride outfit and when I returned back to the Bridal Suite, Tineke had delivered the Bridal and Bridesmaids bouquets.  I was greeted by the site of my beautiful daughter in her Wedding Dress, 3 gorgeous bridesmaids and the wonderful smell of Old English Roses – every time I smell their scent I am taken back to that magical moment.  I was fitted with my amazing wrist corsage and we were nearly ready to go.

One small hitch – due to the weather the cake was late – 70 fairy cakes and stand to be assembled – I was in a state of panic!  No worries Tineke saved the day, the cake was magically assembled and decorated with flower petals – it was perfect.

I cannot thank Kerry, Shaun and John enough.  Their professional friendly service fills you with confidence that the flowers will be perfect.  They always go one step further to ensure everything is perfect and are an absolute pleasure to work with.
